Get moving!
Sitting is a commonality in today’s hi-tech world. We simply move less. Working at computers, on the phone, watching television etc. keep us from using our muscles to move our bodies.
Take time throughout your day to move your body! This doesn’t just mean at the gym for a specific period of time, but interspersed throughout the day to encourage your body to burn more fat and rev up your metabolic rate.
Try walking around your office while on the phone, going to your co-workers desk to discuss something rather than writing an email. Park your car further from your office , take the stairs instead of the elevator. There is truly a whole gammet of ways we can become less sedentary in our lives….give it a shot! Your body and health will thank you.
